Porvorim police have arrested 04 accused persons in connection with theft of construction material from a site at Porvorim.
As per PI Porvorim Shri Rahul Parab a complaint was lodged by one Mr. Amre R/o Porovrim informing that steel and iron rods were stole from his construction site by break opening the metal gate on 26/01/2024.
Accordingly Porvorim Police team gathered information and found that 03 women and one man was involved in the crime.
Finally police nabbed 1. Mr. Jakir Shah R/o Ribandar – Goa N/o Uttar Pradesh 2. Smt Laxmi Chavan R/o Malim, Bardez – Goa 3. Smt Nila Lamani R/o Betim, Bardez – Goa and 4. Smt. Saku Arun Naik R/o Parra, Bardez – Goa along with the vehicle users for committing the crime. Police have also successfully recovered the stolen property worth Rs. 1,00,000/- from the accused persons.
The investigation team consisted of PSI Sitaram Malik, PSI Mandar Parab, constables Nitesh Gaude, Utkarsh Dessai, Bhikaji Parab, Tushar Raut and lady constable Sneha Gawas.
