PANAJI: Vedanta Sesa Goa- Value Added Business extended its support to the Government High School, Amona, by providing sports kits for a wide range of activities. 250 students are set to benefit from the initiative which covered activities such as cricket, carrom, yoga, badminton, table tennis, chess, drums, jerseys, volleyball, and athletics, and will help bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.
The kit distribution ceremony was held at the Government High School, Amona, and the event was attended by prominent sportsperson Rama Dhawasker, also a volleyball representative for Goa and India; Sagar Fadte, Sarpanch of VP Amona; Prasad Ajgaonkar, Head CSR & ER, VAB; and members of the GHS Amona PTA. Their presence highlighted the collaborative efforts to nurture talent and promote community engagement and enabling young athletes to pursue their passion in the field of their choice. The initiative also aims at fostering a culture of fitness and teamwork, aligning with Vedanta’s broader vision of holistic community well-being.
