MORMUGAO: A solemn ceremony was held at Headland Sada Junction, Mormugao, to honor Lt Narendra Atmaram Mayekar on his 25th martyrdom anniversary. Family members, ex-servicemen, local leaders, and residents gathered to pay homage to the Kirti Chakra awardee, who sacrificed his life fighting ULFA militants in Assam on February 26, 2000.
Floral tributes were offered at his Smarak Sthal, remembering his valor and supreme sacrifice. The event highlighted his bravery and the inspiration he continues to provide.
