CHICALIM: Lions Club of Chicalim-Bogmalo and Indian Red Cross, Mormugao Branch in association with Matoshree Seva Dham Arogya Seva Trust organized a free medical camp at Indian Red Cross Society , Mormugao Branch office. 275 people participated in the camp and got their eyes and also blood sugar and blood pressure checked.
Lions Club of Chicalim-Bogmalo President Arnaldo Do Rego said that the response for the medical camp was good and that the club will be organizing eye screening camps every six months.
Dr Savio De souza Pinto, who is also a member of Lions club, guided the patients on better lifestyle measures so as to keep the sugar level under control which in turn will help maintain good eye sight .
Indian Red Cross, Mormugao Branch Chairperson Fiola Rego advised the people to avail of facilities of such medical camps organized by various organizations and get themselves checked regularly.
Other members present during the camp was William Cordozo, Treasurer Vaibhav S Chari, Ulhas V Naik, Ryanel Carvalho, club advisor Gluck D’souza, Sharad Chopdekar , Secretary Linu Thomas, Arul Thomas , Region chairperson Arolker, Maria Liberata Mendoca and Manish Arolker.
