The Captain of Ports has notified that CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula will be carrying out River Discharge Studies during May 2023 in two phases, May13 and 24, 2023 in River Mandovi at Fisheries Jetty, Panaji; May 14 and 25, 2023 in River Zuari at Borim about 200 meters downstream of Borim Bridge on Madgaon route; May 14 and 25, 2023 in River Chapora at Colvale, about 200 meters upstream of Colvale-Dhargal Bridge and May 15 and 26, 2023 in River Terekhol at Querim, about 100 meters downstream of Aronda Bridge.
All Owners/Masters of the barges, passengers launches, ferry boats, tindels of fishing trawlers and operators of the mechanized and non-mechanized crafts, including the tourist boats, cruise boats, etc. plying in the above rivers in the said area are cautioned to keep a sharp lookout, go slow and if necessary stop at safe distance so as not to cause any hindrance during the above period and strictly adhere to the on the spot instructions issued by the patrolling boats stationed at the site.
Violations of the above will be viewed seriously.
