RUSSIAN NATIONAL ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING GANJA AT ARAMBOL
PERNEM: The Pernem police on Tuesday arrested Vashali Spak, 39 from Russia on the charge of possessing ganja worth Rs 10,000 at Madhalawada-Arambol.
According to information given by Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi, the police received reliable information regarding one Russian national involved in illegal drug activities. Based on the information a strict watch was maintained on the movement of the Russian for the last few days.
Finally, it was confirmed that the Russian was carrying some drugs. Accordingly, at 3:15 pm a raid was conducted by the team of Pernem police station at Madhalawada, Arambol and the Russain national was caught red-handed while in possession of drugs ganja worth Rs 10,000.
The accused was currently residing at Arambol.
The raiding team was led by PI Jivba Dalvi and consisted of PSI Harish Vaingankar, PSI Sanjit Kandolkar, constables Vinod Pednekar, Anishkumar Poke, Ravi Mhaloji, Bhaskar Chari, Pravin Mahale and Smita Gauns.
A case under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is in progress.
