Congress demanded judicial investigation into the ongoing smart city works after Panaji MLA and Revenue Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate admitted that the works carried out of substandard and huge amount of Rs 8 crore paid to the consultant. Addressing a press conference after Monserrate’s statement, Congress leader Elvis Gomes said that the government of the day should have filed FIR against those involved in when cabinet minister from the government making statement of corruption and alleged that the board of directors of Imagine Panaji Smart City abdicated its responsibility.
