That on 03.06.2023 at 20:34 hrs registered Old Goa PS Cr.no. 64/2023 u/s 406, 420 r/w 34 IPC upon the complaint of Mr. Mayur s/o Machindra Kunkolkar, r / o. H.no. 507, Gaulebhat, Chimbel Tiswadi Goa to the effect that from November 2022 till February 2023, INK acused persons Mr. Savio Silas Tolentino Da Silva, r / o Near Dhulapkar Hospital, Corlim Tiswadi Goa and Mr. Aniket Balchand Gaikwad, r/o Majale Chinchole, Ahmadnagar, Maharastra with their coomon intention of portraying themselves as recruitment agents, influenced and induced to pay money on the pretext of providing them jobs, deceived the complainant and others and cheated them for an amount of Rs. 13,00,000/- approximately.
The accused person namely Mr. Aniket s/o Balchand Gaikwad, age 25 yrs, r/o. Majale, Chincholi, Ahmadnagar, Maharastra collected money from various Goan youngsters promising them job in foreign countries like US, USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand and also on passenger and Cargo Ships with foreign Companies. The Goan youngsters got attracted to the lucrative and attractive offers given by the accused through another accused namely Mr. Savio Silas Tolentino Da Silva, r/o Near Dhulapkar Hospital, Corlim Tiswadi Goa. Both the accused persons invited funds and taken passport and other documents. They also called them to Mumbai for training, document verification etc. but failed to provide and job as the offers were fake.
The said accused person Mr. Aniket s/o Balchand Gaikwad, age 25 yrs, r/o. Majale, Chincholi, Ahmadnagar, Maharastra who is native of Chincholi Ahmadnagar, had disconnected contact with all his investors and they were not provided any job whereas each person had paid around 5 lakhs. All these innocent Goan who had collected money from their relatives and life saving paid to this fraudster in the hope of getting job at abroad. Initially the accused person was promised them to return the money and later stopped receiving the call and absconded from the given address. The Old Goa Police was on track of the said accused from last 05 days and the information was gathered. Two teams search the accused person at Margao and Ponda areas.
Later on 04/06/2023 team comprising of LPSI Laureen Sequeira, PC 6074 Nilesh Sakhalkar and PC 8273 Geetesh Gawas and the said team visited Panvel, Belapur, Dadar, Kurla, Mulund areas in search of accused. After that the said team visited Chincholi Ahmadnagar to trace the accused person.
Finally the accused was traced in Mumbai with the joint efforts with Deunar Police Station, Mumbai Police. The accused was later brought to Goa on transit remand and he was placed under arrest in this case. It is suspected that the accused had cheated more than 100 innocent people involving very huge amount.
