Date: 12/2023 Sodiem: In a dramatic turn of events today, Deepa Pednekar, the Sarpanch of Sodiem Panchayat, led a group of locals in a protest against the ongoing construction of a ramp along the link road connecting Sodiem to Marna. The group expressed concerns that the ramp would eventually lead to the establishment of an illegal kiosk, prompting them to object vehemently to the project.
The issue came to light during a routine inspection by the Panchayat officials, who discovered the construction work without any prior approvals or consultations. Deepa Pednekar, along with several concerned residents, immediately mobilized to voice their objections to the authorities.
