With tearful eyes and hearts filled with respect and memories, late Shri Jayantrao Sahastrabuddhe was paid a befitting tribute by the members of Vidnyan Parishad Goa, A Shraddhanjali Sabha was organised on Tuesday 13th June at the Goa Science Centre. Everyone present offered flowers and prayed for peace and Sadgati to the departed soul. Prof. Suhas Godse, President of Vidnyan Parishad recalled all the memorable moments and said that the team and work of Vidnyan Parishad had flourished because of the inspiration and faith of Shri Jayantrao.
Mega events like SCIFFI and IISF could be organised solely because of his constant support and guidance. Goa University Vice Chancellor Shri Harilal Menon fondly remembered his long years of association with Jayantrao as a friend and guide. Shri Raju Sukerkar reminisced very emotionally how Jayantrao always stood apart from limelight although he held and commanded immense respect from everyone. One this occasion many a dignitaries from various fields of Science also gave vent to the cherished memories and pledged to carry on the work of VIBHA of taking India and Indian Science to greater heights.
