Office of the Collector and District Magistrate, South Goa District have issued advisory to General Public and tourists to refrain from entering/taking bath/swimming in water bodies, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, mining pits etc. during the ongoing monsoon season in view of several drowning incidents reported in the South Goa District during this monsoon. The General public are requested to adhere to this advisory, so that drowning incident can be prevented and precious lives are saved. In case of any drowning case immediately inform helpline/control room numbers i.e. District Control Room on 2794100, Emergency service on 112 and Fire and Emergency Services on 101-7447746807, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
