KALA ACADEMY HOLD PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

PANAJI: The prize distribution function of various competition including Marathi ‘A’ and ‘B’ group drama, Tiatr ‘A’ group, Konkani drama, one-act play at high school and higher secondary/college level and children drawing competition organised by the Kala Academy Goa in the year 2019-2020 was recently held at the Dinanath Mangueshkar Kala Mandir, Campal-Panaji.

Kala Academy Goa Chairman and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawade Chairman graced the prize distribution as the chief guest and gave away Prizes and trophies to the winners. On the occasion, Director of Art and Culture Sagun Velip and Member Secretary of Kala Academy Pravin Barad and Director (Administration) Fransquinha Olivera, were on the dais as the guests of honour.

The function was organized by maintaining adequate social distancing and following all the standard operating procedures as per government guidelines.

Addressing the gathering, Gawade congratulated all the prize winners, also advised all the youth and students community to participate in such competition irrespective of thoughts of success or failure. While speaking further, he was optimistic of commencing the activities and programme of Kala Academy in the coming months and therefore appealed the artist community especially the participants to be prepared for such an eventuality.

At the outset, Pravin Barad welcomed the guests and Fransquinha Olivera offered bouquets to all the dignitaries on the dais.

Kala Academy programme and development officer Dr Dattaguru Amonkar compered the function and also proposed a vote of thanks.

 The names of the prize winner were read out by Pradeep Gaonkar and programme executives Sanjeev Zarmekar and Vishant Gaude and junior cultural assistant Akshay Parab.

Kala Academy has appealed all the prize winners to collect their prizes and certificates from programme and development section of Kala Academy during office hours.

Kala Academy has also enjoined upon all the prize winners to credit their prize cheques in their respective bank accounts before the validity period/expiry date of the concern cheques.

It is further informed to all the prize winners that Kala Academy shall not be responsible for reissue of cheques in case of delayed submission of the cheques in bank accounts.
