ST JOSEPH VAZ SANCTUARY REOPENS FOR MASSES, SERVICES AT SANCOALE

VASCO: The Sanctuary of St Joseph Vaz at Sancoale will reopen on Sunday, November 15 with the celebration of Masses and other liturgical/paraliturgical services in the Sanctuary.

All Masses and other liturgical/paraliturgical services will have a limited number of faithful, which will be celebrated as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Ministry for Health and Family Welfare, Central government and the Diocesan guidelines.

MASSES:

Masses will be celebrated on Saturday at 6.15 pm in English (the Sunday Anticipatory Mass) and on Sunday at 7 am, 9 am and 5 pm. The 5 pm Mass is additional to regular Sunday Masses.

Masses on Friday will be celebrated at 7 am, 8.45 am and 4 pm. The 4 pm Mass will be celebrated at the Sanctuary, which otherwise used to be celebrated at the Oratory Room of St Joseph Vaz.

The weekday Mass will be celebrated at 7 am.

On the 16th of every month, a Mass will be celebrated at 4 pm, followed by Way of the Cross, at the Sanctuary.

OTHER SERVICES:

Besides, other services will also be conducted at the Sanctuary of St Joseph Vaz.

On every third Sunday of the month, there will be Prayer over childless couples and sick children (above 10 years) after the 9 am Mass.

On the first Friday of the month, there will be Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament for Silent Adoration at the Sanctuary from 6 pm to 8 pm, culminating with the Solemn Blessing of the Sacrament.

On every second Friday of the month, there will be a Healing Service for the sick, not above 65 years of age (with Masses at 7 am and 9 am), beginning at 7.45 am and ending at 11.30 am.

On the first, third and fourth Friday of the month, there will be Prayer over the sick (not above 65 years of age) from 10 am to 12 noon.

On every Wednesday, confessions and spiritual guidance (counselling) will be available from 9 am to 12 noon.

On all working days, the Sanctuary and the Oratory Room of St Joseph Vaz will be open to devotees and pilgrims to pay visits, according to
