Goa: Coast Guard Commander (Western Seaboard), Additional Director General KR Suresh, PTM, TM, visited Goa on 8th September. During his visit, the Flag Officer held significant meetings with Hon’ble Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pramod Sawant, and the Director General of Police for Goa, Shri Jaspal Singh, IPS.

The primary focus of the discussions revolved around enhancing cooperation in Maritime Security, Search & Rescue operations, and fostering synergy between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the State of Goa. The meetings also explored ways to strengthen training programs, cross deployments, intelligence sharing, and joint exercises.

Speaking about the visit, ADG KR Suresh expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration opportunities between the ICG and the local authorities. He emphasized the significance of maximizing collective efforts to ensure the safety and security of Goa’s maritime domain.

The visit further solidified the commitment of the Indian Coast Guard and the State of Goa to work hand in hand to protect and safeguard India’s coastal areas. The discussions and exchange of ideas will serve as a foundation for future joint initiatives and partnerships. The Indian Coast Guard remains dedicated to its mission of safeguarding the maritime interests of the nation. The collaboration with the Goa State Government will greatly contribute to ensuring the security of Goa’s coastal regions and promoting cooperative efforts towards maritime safety and protection.
