The Office of the Collector, North Goa, organized the fourth Janata Darbar for Sattari taluka, a pioneering outreach program, at Municipality hall, Valpoi, today, bringing governance to the doorstep of the people. The Minister for Social Welfare Department, Shri Subhash Phaldesai along with Poriem Constituency MLA Dr Deviya Rane graced the occasion, offering a responsive ear to the grievances of the local people and finding resolution of their issues.

During the event, Shri Subhash Phaldesai, Minister for Social Welfare, announced the formation of a separate department for Divyangs and revealed plans to include mini national games in the upcoming Purple fest, an international-level event. He also assured that an officer would be appointed and within a month he will submit a report on both pending and resolved grievances of the people. Minister Phaldesai emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that all social welfare schemes reach their beneficiaries promptly. Additionally, he shared plans for the development and beautification of Rock Art Mauxi, Nanus Fort, and Dipaji Rane house under the Department of Archeology, with cost estimates to be determined soon. Furthermore, he spoke about digitization of archives, a task comprising over 3 Crore pages, to be completed within 1-2 years.

Dr. Deviya Rane, MLA for Poriem, underscored the government’s dedication to solving people’s problems and improving their quality of life. She commended Minister Phaldesai for proactively delivering social welfare schemes to the public and emphasized that the Janata Darbar serves as an invaluable platform for addressing the grievances of the people.

The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Shri Rohit Kadam, Director, Department of Archives; Shri Nilesh Phaldesai, Director, Department of Archeology; Shri Ajit Panchwadkar, Director, Department of Social Welfare; Shri Pravin Parab, Deputy Collector, Sattari; Shri Dashrath Gawas, Mamlatdar, Sattari; Shri Pundalik Khorjuvenkar, Additional Collector -lll; Smt Devyani Gawas, ZP member; Shri Sagun Wadkar, ZP member; Smt Rajashri Kale, ZP member; Smt Shehzin Shaikh, Chairperson , Valpoi Municipal Council; Dr. Rajesh Patil, Medical Superintendent of Goa Medical College; Shri Vinod Shinde; Sarpanch’s; Panch members; government officials, and others.

The program was compered by Shri Uday Sawant, with Shri Pravin Parab, Deputy Collector, proposing vote of thanks to all participants and attendees.
