3 ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS AT MARGAO
MARGAO: In a major breakthrough the Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC) police conducted three raids at Margao and arrested three drug dealers for possessing narcotics substance Marijuana.
During the first raid, the ANC team arrested Muhafiz Pathan (22) of Khareband, Margao and seized 1.220-kg of Marijuana from him. The total valued of seized narcotics is Rs 1.31 lakh. PSI Priyanka Sawant is conducting further investigations.
In the second raid, the ANC police arrested Millen Pilai (22), a native of Odisha and currently residing at Majorda on the charge of possessing 10.310-kg of narcotics worth Rs 10.31 lakh. The case is investigated by PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar
In the last raid of the day, the ANC police arrested Vinayak Zuarkar (22), a resident of Comba-Margao and recovered 2-kg of ganja from his possession. The value of seized marijuana is Rs 2 lakh. PSI Rohan Madgaonkar is he investigating officer.
All the raids were conducted under the supervision of PI Suraj Halarnkar, DySP Harish Madkaikar and SP (ANC) Mahesh Gaonkar.
