Sahil Mohan Kamble’s Story Raises Questions About His Disappearance
In a surprising turn of events, 15-year-old school student Sahil Mohan Kamble, who had been missing for over two weeks, made a dramatic return home on Tuesday night. However, questions remain about the veracity of his claims regarding an alleged kidnapping.
Sahil, a resident of Shelpe-Dhuler in Goa, left for school on October 9th, 2023, and had not been seen since. Distraught by his disappearance, his parents filed a Missing and Kidnapping FIR with the Mapusa police station.
According to Sahil’s statement, he was kidnapped by four unknown individuals. He recounted a harrowing tale of being forcibly dragged into an unidentified van, where his eyes were covered with cloth. Over the course of three days, the unknown captors transferred him from one vehicle to another while keeping him blindfolded.
Sahil’s escape from his alleged captors took place when the vehicle stopped for a brief period. He managed to break the van’s door and window glasses and ran approximately 4 kilometers before reaching a dhaba or(roadside eatery/hotel). To sustain himself and gather resources, he worked at the dhaba hotel, which he later discovered was in Rajasthan.
The courageous teen traveled from Rajasthan to Mumbai, then to Kolhapur, and eventually returned to Mapusa, Goa, via a bus.
While at the hotel, Sahil took on odd jobs to earn money and eventually made his way back home. His journey led him from Rajasthan to Mumbai, then to Kolhapur, and finally, to Goa, where he arrived at the Mapusa bus stop and walked home to Shelpe-Dhuler.
The crucial question that lingers is the authenticity of Sahil’s story. Was he truly kidnapped, or is there more to the tale than meets the eye? The Mapusa police are actively investigating the case to determine the facts surrounding Sahil Mohan Kamble’s disappearance and return.
