The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Panaji has informed that draft Electoral Roll in respect of all the Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies in the State of Goa relating to the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll with reference January 1, 2024 as the qualifying date will be published as per the programme approved by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi.

The Publication of draft electoral roll was held on October 27,2023. Period of filing claims & objections has been scheduled from Oct 27,2023 to December 9,2023.Special campaign dates has been scheduled on November 4, 5, 25 and 26 2023. Disposal of Claims and   has been scheduled on December 26, 2023 and Final Publication of electoral roll has been scheduled on January 5, 2024

The Electoral Rolls will be available for scrutiny by the members of the public from Oct 27, 2023 till December 9, 2023 in the premises of the respective Polling Stations where last election for Parliamentary Constituencies and Assembly Constituencies were held. The Electoral Rolls are also available for scrutiny in the Offices of the concerned Electoral Registration Officers of Pernem, Bicholim, Bardez, Tiswadi, Ponda, Salcete, Mormugao, Sattari, Sanguem, Quepem, Dharbandora and Canacona and also in the Offices of all the Mamlatdars/Joint Mamlatdars/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers in the State of Goa.

All Indian citizens who are eligible to be included in the Electoral Rolls are requested to scrutinize the Draft Electoral Rolls and in case their names do not figure in the said Draft Electoral Rolls and those who may attain the age of 18 years as on January 1, 2024 as qualifying date are requested to get their names included in the Electoral Rolls.

The Electoral Registration Officers have also appointed Booth Level Officers at the respective Polling Stations.  Online e-services are offered at Voter helpline Mobile App and https//voters.ecigov.in/, where eligible user can apply on-line for registration of new voters/electors (Form 6)/ shifting of residence, correction of entries in existing electoral roll, replacement of EPIC and marking of Person with Disability (Form 8)/deletion (Form 7), registration of overseas Indian electors (Form 6A)/Aadhar linking to EPIC (Form 6B). The services also give facility of uploading scanned copies of documents and photograph. Also, user can track status of application already submitted online and download/print the form from the Portal for offline submission of the Form.

The list of claims and objections is available on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer Goa at www.ceogoa.nic.in and objection can be raised before the EROs.

All claims and objections received up to December 9, 2023 will be duly considered and disposed off by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. The General Public and the Political Parties in particular are therefore requested to scrutinize the said Draft Electoral Rolls and to take steps to get names included or corrected for which the time limit is up to December 9, 2023.
