CONFERENCE IN SHIPBUILDING & DEFENCE AT GSL & MAZAGON DOCK SHIPBUILDERS ON 27th NOVEMBER

PANAJI: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will organise a virtual conference on 27th November to present the ‘Opportunities in Shipbuilding & Defence at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDSL).

The aim is to extend maximum support to promote and develop business for MSMEs and large Indian companies by facilitating their registration as vendors/supplier, and develop a strong supplier base to connect with GSL and MDSL thus strengthening indigenous manufacturing. The event will also provide an opportunity for vendor/supplier to connect with the representatives of GSL and MDL and present their products and services during the Q&A session and write to the concerned officers post the event.

Participation by MSMEs and large Indian ancillary industry would help explore, facilitate and transact business, build a self-reliant eco-system and mutually beneficial partnerships, The day’s programme will help OEMs and vendors from the aforementioned sectors dealing with component and turn-key contracts and sub-contract works. MSMEs and large Indian companies in shipbuilding and defence sector have tremendous potential to build and become self-reliance which has been the clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modito usher in ‘Atma-Nirbhar Bharat’.

Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik will be the chief guest, while Goa Shipyard Limited chairman and managing director  Cmde B B Nagpal NM IN and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd chairman and managing director Vice Admiral Adm Narayan Prasad will be key speakers at the event.

In the technical session that follows – Registration Process at GSL and MDSL and GEM Portal,   Cmde B. K. Munjal, VSM (Retd), Advisor-Defence Procurement; representatives of GSL and MDSL and Suraj J Dailani, CMD, Konkan Maritime Cluster, Opportunities at the Goa Maritime Cluster will participate.

The highlight of the event is that it will provide opportunity for vendor/supplier to connect with the representatives of GSL and MDL and present their products and services during the Q&A session and write to the concerned officers post the event.

Companies can attend and register themselves as Vendors/Suppliers to Goa Shipyard ltd and Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd; Connect with Government eMarket (GeM) Authority and Register your Company on GeM portal;  Participation could culminate in B2B opportunites with GSL & MDSL;  Write and interact over email sending details of your products and Services and post event coordinates/contacts of GSL and MDSL representatives will be shared with delegates.
