‘Vocal for Local’ takes center stage this Diwali as an impactful initiative by Our Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. In line with this vision, Minister for Women and Child, Shri Vishwajit Rane organised a special event to address the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of Goa, aiming to inspire and provide a larger platform for their locally crafted products. The highlight of the occasion was a selected few SHGs from Goa created a hamper filled with authentic Goan Diwali sweets and savories, which they will send to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. This unique opportunity has sparked excitement among these women, showcasing a remarkable moment of empowerment facilitated by Mr. Rane. The ultimate goal is to establish a market for these products, enabling these women to stand on their own feet and achieve sustainable livelihoods. This Diwali, Mr. Rane has truly brought light to the homes of these women, embodying the spirit of empowerment and self-reliance. He has urged everyone to engage in ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative by Hon’ble PM, and support the local artisans.
