In a bid to effectively propagate and spread greater awareness among the masses and particularly the student community about the Social Welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government Department of Information and Publicity which is the Nodal Agency of the Government to disseminate information on various aspects has embarked upon intensifying its efforts by making utmost use of various means of communication so that the benefit of populist schemes and measures of the Government are reaped by the people and ensure effective implementation.

In this context, the Department of Information and Publicity will be organising a State level “Inter-Higher Secondary Quiz competition” on the theme “Welfare Schemes of Goa Government” on December 6, 2023 at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji.

The quiz is aimed at enlightening the student community and create awareness about the various welfare schemes of the State Government.

Maximum two bonafide students from each higher secondary can participate in celebration of knowledge on “Welfare Schemes of state Government.

Winners will be awarded a Cash prize of Rs. 15,000/- as first prize, Rs. 10,000/- as 2nd prize, Rs. 8,000/- as 3rd prize and Rs. 5,000/- as 4th prize respectively besides mementoes will be presented.

The Quiz will have written Preliminary Round of 20 questions and top 4 teams will qualify for on stage Audio Visual quiz performances, which will have six rounds. Decision of the Quiz master and the organizers will be final and binding on all participants and colleges.
