Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh and Eve of foundation day of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu was celebrated in the gracious presence of the Governor Shri. P. S. Shreedharan Pillai at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula today.
Shri M. R. M. Rao, IAS, Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Rahul Tripathi, Professor, Goa University and others were present on the occasion.
The foundation day is celebrated with the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ all over the country.
Addressing the foundation day celebrations the Governor of Goa, Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai appealed to stay united and urged them to uphold and protect the Sovereignty, Unity and Integrity of our country.
The Governor Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai extended his best wishes to the State of Uttar Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and said, these states have immense potential and are loaded with talents.
Governor appealed to the public to visit Raj Bhavan during Republic Day Celebrations and witness the various projects that are run by the Raj Bhavan campus.
Earlier, Shri M. R. M. Rao, IAS, Secretary to Governor welcomed the guests. Smt. Megha Mukharjee compered and Shri Sandesh Gadkari proposed vote of thanks.
Miss Devika Sambhari presented Ram Bhajan in dance format as part of the celebrations.
