A Delegation led by Anduk Tsetan, Senior most Member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile today met the Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao at the Assembly Complex and submitted a Memorandum to him urging his support for the Tibetan People.

Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao had a detailed discussion with the Delegation on various issues including the prevailing situation in Tibet, Number of Tibetans settled in Goa and safety & Security of Tibetan Children, Women & Senior Citizens. He assured them of his support and conveyed his respect to His Holiness Dalai Lama and People of Tibet.

The Memorandum signed by Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel appeals for recognising Tibet as an Occupied Nation with its own independent and Sovereign past backed by historical evidence. Memorandum further mentions to desist from endorsing China’s false narrative by labelling Tibetans as a minority. They have also urged the Legislators of Goa to express their concern and raise their voice over the Human Rights Violations in Tibet.

The Delegation expressed Gratitude to Indian National Congress on behalf of the Tibetan People for its continuous support to Tibetans. Anduk Tsetan honoured Leader of Opposition with a Shawl and a Memento. Sonam Wanguo presented a Statue of Buddha to the Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.

The Delegation comprised of Tsering Yangchen, Member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Jigmey Tshltrim, Chief Representative, Dhondip Tashi Delek, Tenzin Jinpa, Jingme Bhotia, Nima Chering and Sandesh Meshram, Regional Convenor of Tibetan Core Group.
