Reaching out to the common man in the remotest area and the unreached is an act of doing great service to the nation stated the Minister of Law and Judiciary, Shri Aleixo Sequeira, who was speaking at the inauguration of the State Level ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman campaign’ under the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, commemorating the 75th year of India as a Republic.

While speaking of the Tele-Law services (https://www.tele-law.in) and e Courts Services available at online and at Common Service Centres (CSCs) that have been launched, Shri Sequeira said, “Such services help provide an important role in helping citizens access justice and get legal advice. While addressing a gathering comprising largely lawyers, students of law and those in the legal fraternity, Shri Sequeira said, “You all have the responsibility to secure and preserve the Constitution of India. Helping and reaching out to the common man gives one satisfaction knowing they have walked the extra mile.” He appealed to the lawyers to think of the common man and not make money a priority. “Let us walk together and make Goa a better place to live in,” he said adding, “The Government will provide all cooperation to help legal services to reach the common man.” The key attraction of ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman campaign’ is Jan Sewa Janta Ke Dwar, Citizen Centric Service mela and workshop. Present on the occasion were Member Secretary, Goa State Legal Services Authority, Smt. Vijaya Ambre, Dhaval Jadhav, Common Services Centre (CSC) State head of Goa, Principal, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Dr G. Shaber Ali, among others.
