Its now more than decade the Borim Villagers witnessing major traffic Congestion due to narrow NH passing from Village. Due to long queues of traffic on main road during busy rush hours the Village appears to seperated into parts . It becomes difficult to even cross other side of road for buying goods said senior villagers. He also said that road dug for development adding to traffic problems and blocks.

The local Vinay Parpati said people are facing great hardhship due to increasing traffic on narrow main road. People also lost lives in fatals and several injured in accidents on this road.
He said people coming from internal road to main road has to wait for long time due to traffic queues on road. Further during School hours parents find difficult to drop and pickup their school going children’s. After new connectivity road The workers from Verna Industrial Estate now prefer to travel through Borim Loutolim thus it has added to traffic problems and traffic jams. Due to traffic blocks even for 108 Vehicles it becomes difficult to move forward from congested traffic.
Vinay Parpati said government has ten years ago acquired six meter road from one side of road from Topcola Borim to Sakwar which need to widened. He also said that people have been paid money for land acquisition. Now government need to float tender widen the acquired road which will ease traffic problem.
He also said that government should construct new bypass to free village from traffic congestion. He said when buses takes stop to alight or pickup passengers it leads to traffic blocks. So need bus stops at roadsides. Even minor accident leads to long queues. The old Portuguese era culvert at Topcola could collapse any time.
