Quidich Innovation Labs, now operational in Goa, engaged in a pivotal discussion at Sadhana Dell ‘Arte in Merces with the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte and Mr. Rahat Kulshreshtha, Founder of Quidich Innovation Labs Pvt. Ltd. Joining the discussion were Mr. Neville Noronha, OSD to the Minister of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Goa and Mr. D S Prashant, CEO of Startup and IT Promotion Cell.

Quidich is a leading Sports Technology and filming company providing special camera services integrated with augmented reality and real-time player tracking. Over the past four years, they have been at the forefront of developing innovative technologies to enhance storytelling in production. Quidich has delivered exceptional services to sports broadcasters, general entertainment channels, and film productions globally. They have provided their cutting-edge services for the IPL, men’s Twenty20 cricket league. Remarkably, Quidich is the first company in the world to offer broadcast-grade augmented reality on a drone.

 During the discussion on establishing Goa as an innovative hub and design capital of India, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, the Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa, stated: “The Government of Goa has introduced the ‘Drone Policy 2022’ to foster a flourishing drone ecosystem and aims to position itself as one of the key states in India’s drone ecosystem, promoting and incentivizing drone design, manufacturing, testing, and maintenance along with training, thus making Goa a drone manufacturing hub. Also, from an export or logistics point of view, Goa is a good place as we have MOPA International Airport for easy transportation. Our focus is on leveraging Goa’s unique environment to maximize the transformative potential of drones in various sectors, ultimately driving significant economic growth and development in our state.”

Mr. Rahat emphasized the unique atmosphere of Goa, which fosters creativity and innovation, providing an ideal environment to fully unleash their potential. He expressed excitement about relocating to Goa due to the robust support from the IT department and the Government of Goa, especially with Minister Shri. Rohan Khaunte overseeing both IT and Tourism departments. This alignment presents an exceptional opportunity for them to venture into new realms of creativity and innovation, while also considering the tourism perspective. Mr. Kulshreshtha highlighted their collaborative spirit, which resonates with the ethos of the Quidich Innovation Lab and the department’s vision to transform Goa into an innovative hub.
