Murgao Hindu Samaj has been actively involved in various social activities benefiting the people of Murmugoa Taluka for the past five decades. We are dedicated to promoting and organizing social, religious, and cultural events.
Currently, we are responsible for the upkeep of Khariwada Crematorium in Vasco, and the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue at Chicalim Junction.
Each year, we organize cultural programs at Mahalaxmi Temple during Diwali, along with the Narkasur Vadh Competition and Akashkandil Competition for Murmugoa Taluka.
Annaprasad Activity
For the past few years, we have been providing Annaprasad Seva during the Shree Damodar Saptah held in the month of Shravan. Over ten thousand devotees of Shree Damodar benefit from this service annually.
This year, Shree Damodar Saptah will be held on 10th August 2024. We are fully prepared and enthusiastic to serve the devotees of Shree Damodar on this auspicious occasion. The event will take place at Shree Vidhyadhiraj Bhavan Murgao Mutt, near Saraswat Co-operative Bank, Vasco Da Gama (formerly known as Gulmohor Trading, behind Vidhyadhiraj Bhavan, Vasco Da Gama).
Devotees can avail of Annaprasad from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the aforementioned location. Those willing to contribute donations may contact a member of Murgao Hindu Samaj. Additionally, food ingredients can be donated starting from 7th August 2024 at the same location, where our members will be available.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Shree Vidhyadhiraj Bhavan Mutt Samiti, Shri Shivanand Salgaonkar, Shri Srinivas Dempo, and Swamiji for providing us with the facilities for preparing Annaprasad. We also express our gratitude to all the supporting agencies involved in this noble cause.
