HEAVY TRUCK WITH 14 TYRES CRASHES INTO ELECTRICITY POLE AT ARLEM

MARGAO: A heavy truck fitted with 14 tyres went off the road and damaged an electricity at Arlem, near Margao on Monday evening.

According to the  the Maina-Curtorim police, the truck was loaded with coal and was proceeding from Margao to Ponda when the incident occurred.

The truck which fell into a ditch was removed with a crane. On getting the information, engineers from PWD and electricity department rushed to the spot to assess the damages.

The Maina-Curtorim police have registered a case against the truck driver for rash and reckless driving.
