In a significant move towards improving infrastructure and ensuring public safety, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar inaugurated a high-mast light at Varunapuri Junction. The inauguration took place in the presence of Ward Councillor Ameya Chopdekar and other local representatives.
The installation of this high-mast light addresses a long-standing issue of darkness at the Varunapuri Junction, which had been a cause of concern for residents and commuters alike. “This area has been under darkness for a long time, and the installation of this light was the need of the hour,” said Salkar during the ceremony.
MLA Salkar expressed his gratitude to the electricity department and Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Sudin Dhavalikar for their efforts in bringing this much-needed amenity to the people of Vasco. He acknowledged the timely implementation of the project, which he described as a “gift” to the citizens of Vasco on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Councillor Ameya Chopdekar, who has been actively involved in local development initiatives, also thanked the administration for their continued support. “Our BJP ministers are always with the people of Vasco, working towards the development of the constituency,” said Salkar, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving public amenities and infrastructure.
The high-mast light at Varunapuri Junction is expected to enhance safety and improve the quality of life for residents, especially during the night.
