Hundred of locals along with social activists, political and religious leaders participated in a peaceful candlelit march against Butani project in Sancoale demanding immediate scrapping of the project. South Goa MP Captain ViriatoFernandes, Chicalim priest Fr Bolmax Pereira, Cortalim Block Congress president Peter D’Souza, South Goa BJP president TulshdasNaik , activists Walter Lobo, Rama Kankonkar, XencorPolgi, former minister AlinaSaldnha, Advocate Pratima Coutinho, Tara Kerka and Tanoj Advalparkar addressed the gathering and appealed Goans to remain united against mass commercialisation which will ultimately decimate Goan culture.
