Lions Club of Chicalim-Bogmalo under the leadership of Lion Arnaldo Basilio Do Rego organized the Visit of Zone Chairperson Lion Vishal Desai and felicitated four municipal school teachers namely Maria Valentina , Joana Moniz, Smita Naik and Bharati Tordulkar.
The club and also organized an awareness talk on various cancer and the ill effects of use of tobacco by Karishma Kerkar who is extension educator from Urban Health Centre, Mormugao. The talk on cancer and use of tobacco has given a deep knowledge to the students and has made them aware on the repercussion of use of tobacco.
Headmistress Valentina Baretto on behalf of the other felicities expressed her joy and said that the gesture of felicitating in front of the students was very special.
Other members present were secretary Lion Linu Thomas, Treasurer Lion Vaibhav Chari, Project Chairperson MJF Lion Fiola Rego, Club advisor Lion Gluck Dsouza, MJF Lion Pundalik Gaonkar , Lion Smita Gaonkar, lion Dr Savio Pinto Desouza, Lion William Cardozo, Lion Rynel Carvallho and staff and teachers of municipal school.
