How many Goans got jobs in NIT, IIT, BITS Pilani, Ayurveda Institute, University of Legal Education & Research? How many are permanent, how many are temporary, how many are through outsourced agencies? Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant must answer before advising Goans not to oppose Tivim Private University, stated Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
I dare Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to release periodic information on so-called 2 lakh job opportunities in next 2 yrs in Goa as announced by him and ensure only Goans are recruited by government or private sector, rather than threatening Goan youths of outsiders grabbing jobs, Amarnath Panjikar said.
I want to inform the Chief Minister that out of 195 Jobs in NIT, Cuncolim only 130 Goans are employed of which only 15 are on regular basis and 112 on outsourced temporary basis. In IIT at Farmagudi, out of 329 Jobs only 140 are Goans of which only 14 are on regular basis, said Amarnath Panjikar.
Ayush Hospital at Dhargal has 220 jobs out of which 204 are Goans who are working on Contractual Basis. Government gave 50000 square meters of land to the Hospital which is now under Central Government, said Amarnath Panjikar.
Government wants to give 50 acres of land to India International University of Legal Education and Research . This institute has only 44 jobs of which 11 are Goans working on Contractual basis. Goa Institute of Management has 378 Jobs available of which 53 Goans are working on Regular basis, 43 on Contract basis and 196 are employed by Third Party Agency, claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
This data shows that the statement of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant that Private University at Tivim will create employment is false, misleading and malicious, charged Amarnath Panjikar.
I also want to make the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant aware that out of the proposed investment of 6650 Crores only 951 Crores investment is done by IPB project proponents while almost 12 lakhs square meter of land is allotted to them. Actual employment generated is just 2505 against proposed employment of 24300. Surprisingly, University Project at Tivim is approved by Investment Promotion Board, pointed out Amarnath Panjikar.
Government has no action plan to resolve the unemployment in Goa. Last many years, BJP Government is just fooling Goan youth by giving them false promises, said Amarnath Panjikar.
