NORTH GOA SP AKSHAT KAUSHAL AND HIS MAPUSA POLICE TEAM WITH  RECOVERED 12 KG OF SILVER AND 1 KG OF GOLD ORNAMENTS VALUED AT SEVERAL CRORES OF RUPEES.

The night patrolling by Mapusa police proved fruitful as Goa police have cracked the Nasnodkar jewellery theft case, recovering 12 kg of silver and 1 kg of gold ornaments valued at several crores of rupees. Four suspects, including two minors, have been apprehended, with the minors being sent to Apna Ghar. 

Speaking to media along with Mapusa DySP  Sandesh Chodankar , Mapusa PI Palekar and special team of officers after major breakthrough in  robbery which occurred on the intervening night of Monday at 1 a.m., and by 3 a.m,  North Goa SP Akshat Kaushal, said  that the night patrolling staff had photographed two men who appeared suspicious while roaming near the police station and later, upon reviewing the CCTV footage of the theft, the officers realised that the individuals they had photographed matched the suspects captured in the footage and this critical lead played a major role in the investigation and apprehension of the thieves.
