CALANGUTE: A resident of Karnataka reportedly took his own life by hanging from a ceiling fan at Hotel Bonanza in Khobrowaddo-Calangute, amid suspected extramarital affairs. Upon receiving notification of the incident, a team from the Calangute Police arrived at the hotel on Monday and discovered a male individual hanging from the fan, while a female was found with severe wrist injuries and in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Mahesh D. Suntnure, and the female victim is 25-year-old Sonali, both hailing from Bidar, Karnataka. Sonali has been shifted to a hospital for urgent medical care, where her condition remains critical. Initial investigations indicate that the pair had checked into the hotel on October 19, with plans to check out on October 20; however, they extended their stay for an additional day until October 21. It has come to light that Mahesh D Suntnure was married and had three children, while Sonali had been married for four years.
