RETIRED MAMLATDAR, 2 ADVOCATES ARRESTED IN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE, RELEASED
PERNEM: The Pernem Police arrested three persons, a former mamlatdar and two advocates for allegedly assaulting one Shubham Harmalkar over property dispute at Arambol.
According to information given by Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi, the accused persons Baburao Harmalkar, a retired mamlatdar and two advocates Vivek Harmalkar and Dhananjay Harmalkar from Tivim allegedly assaulted and caused grievous injury to Shubham Harmalkar.
Following a complaint, the police immediately arrested the trio.
PI Dalvi also stated that the three accused filed a counter complaint against the victim.
The accused were later released on conditional bail by the court. They have been asked to report to the Pernem Police Station for a period of seven days.
Further investigations are on, PI Dalvi said.
