THREE INJURED IN TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION AT KONEM-PRIOL
PONDA: Three persons were injured when the car they were travelling in collided against an oncoming vehicle at Konem-Priol on Friday evening.
The police gave the names of the injured as Sadanand Naik (50), his son Guruprasad (12) and daughter Swati.
All the injured have been admitted at the Dilasa Hospital, Farmagudi-Ponda and the condition of Guruprasad was stated to be serious.
The accident occurred when the Naik family were proceeding from Ponda to Cumbharjua in their Maruti Wagon-R car while, the Toyota Innova vehicle driven by Selwin Fernandes of Siolim was heading in the opposite direction.
Both the vehicles were badly damaged.
On getting the information, the Ponda police rushed to the spot and conducted the panchanama. Further investigations are on, police said.
