TALEIGAO: The Diocesan Youth Centre celebrated the highly anticipated Diocesan Youth Day 2024 at Taleigao on Sunday, December 15, bringing together Catholic youth from across the state. With around 3,000 youth in attendance, the event marked a vibrant celebration of faith, unity, and hope.
The preparations for this special day began months in advance, with a unique symbol of hope created by the youth—the Pilgrim Cross and a Portrait of Mother Mary which were sent across churches and chapels from South Goa to North Goa, inspiring many along the way.
The Pilgrim Cross and Portrait, having journeyed through the state, were brought to the event on Sunday, serving as a powerful reminder of faith and devotion. During the journey, many youth witnessed miraculous experience that deepened their connection with the Lord and gave Hope to the once who had lost hope.
The celebration was filled with meaningful activities that encouraged interaction and fellowship. The day included an engaging interactive session, followed by the Eucharistic celebration, and various activities that allowed the youth to make new friends and learn from one another. The event culminated in an uplifting session of dancing and praising God, bringing the day’s experiences to a joyful and energetic close.
The Diocesan Youth Day 2024 was organized under the leadership of Fr Blaise Lobo, Director of the Diocesan Youth Centre. It was a day full of celebration, spiritual growth, friendship, and learning that will be remembered by all who attended.
