PANAJI:  Chief Minister Dr  Pramod Sawant handed over Offer of Temporary Appointment letters to 34 Home Guard Volunteers who will be absorbed into the Goa Police Department as Police Constables.

The Chief Minister commended the dedication and service of the Home Guard Volunteers, highlighting their vital role in supporting the police force during emergencies and public service duties. Their absorption into the police force underscores the government’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding exemplary service.

Speaking at the event, Dr Sawant stated, “Home Guard Volunteers have consistently shown dedication and courage while assisting Goa Police. Their transition to Police Constables is a significant step in strengthening our police force, and I am confident they will continue to serve with the same commitment and integrity.”

Director General of Police  Alok Kumar  congratulated the appointees and expressed his gratitude for their service as Home Guard Volunteers. He emphasized the importance of their new roles in enhancing the operational strength of Goa Police and assured them of the department’s support as they prepare for this new chapter.

The absorbed volunteers will undergo training to equip them with the skills and knowledge required for their new roles, ensuring a seamless integration into the police force. This initiative reflects Goa Police’s efforts to enhance its capacity for efficient and citizen-centric policing.
