  3. NAVEEN KUMAR IS NEW MD OF GOA DAIRY

PONDA: After a prolonged delay, Goa Dairy at Curti has finally appointed a full-time Managing Director (MD) following a wait of over a year. The members of the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Goa Dairy had recently urged the government to fill the vacant MD position to ensure the smooth operation of the organization. The absence of an MD had led to complaints from farmers and members regarding disruptions in their official activities.

In response, the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Delhi has appointed Naveen Kumar as the new MD of Goa Dairy, and he has assumed his responsibilities. It is noteworthy that, in light of the AGM members’ requests, the three-member Administrative Committee of Goa Dairy, comprising chairman Parag Nagarsekar, Member Rama Parab, and Sandeep Parsekar, had actively followed up with the NDDB to expedite the appointment of an MD. This was essential for the efficient management of various operations related to the farmers and the organization.

During the vacancy, the members of the Administrative Committee had been overseeing the MD’s responsibilities. The Administrative Committee has warmly welcomed Naveen Kumar, who hails from Gujarat and brings with him 18 years of experience in the dairy sector. Both the Chairman of Goa Dairy and the farmers are optimistic about the future of the organization under the leadership of the new MD.
