PERNEM: Former Pernem MLA Parshuram Kotkar passed away at GMC, Bambolim, after a brief illness on Friday. His son, Kamlesh, performed the last rites. Kotkar was an elected member of the Goa legislative assembly on an MGP ticket in 1994. While MGP lost its bastion to BJP, Kotkar was among the few party loyalists who worked to retain the base.
