BENAULIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the state-of-the-art 7.5 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant at Colva in the Benaulim constituency. CM mentioned that this significant project, built at a cost of Rs 55 crore was inaugurated in the presence of Law & Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira, MLA Venzy Viegas, ZP Vania Tista, and other dignitaries. 

CM expressed pride to share that Goa is the first state in India to establish dedicated facilities for Solid Waste, Sewage Waste, Hazardous Waste, and Chemical Waste treatment. He said that this achievement underscores the Government of Goa’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and the holistic progress of the state.

CM urged all residents and households to connect to the sewage treatment system. He said that treating household wastewater will not only ensure its safe management but also enable its reuse for various domestic and commercial purposes, contributing to a cleaner and greener Goa.
