
MARGAO: Madganvcho Awaaz and Youth Leader Prabhav Naik have urged Art & Culture Minister Govind Gaude to honor the 100th anniversary of the esteemed Goan artist, Padma Bhushan Laxman Pai, whose artistic contributions have brought significant recognition to India. As the centenary year commences on Tuesday, Prabhav Naik paid homage to the distinguished artist and called upon the government to celebrate this milestone in order to acknowledge his remarkable accomplishments. Laxman Pai was born on January 21, 1926, and he passed away at the age of 95 on March 14, 2021. He received numerous accolades, including the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award, bestowed by the Government of India. Additionally, he served as the principal of the Goa College of Art from 1977 to 1987.
