  3. 35 FEMALE POLICE PERSONNEL ACQUIRES SELF-DEFENSE SKILLS

PANAJI: Under the leadership of DIGP (Range) Varsha Sharma, IPS, and with the guidance of SP Pink Force Ezilda D’Souza and LPI SPCR/Pink Force Mira D’silva, a workshop on self-defense martial arts was organized for Goa Police Pink Force.

The training was conducted by Erica J De Sequeira, an international competitor and third-ranked professional in Jiu-jitsu, alongside her coach, Master Raunak Singh, an army trainer with considerable expertise, specifically for the female personnel of the Pink Force.

Given the prevailing uncertainties in law and order and the violence occurring both nationally and globally, it is imperative to be adequately prepared and equipped to confront any eventuality. This preparation is essential not only for safeguarding citizens but also for ensuring personal safety, which in turn guarantees public security.

The workshop offered the Goa Police Pink Force personnel an opportunity to acquire self-defense skills, thereby empowering them to protect themselves, enhance their confidence, and develop the ability to respond effectively in potentially dangerous situations through increased awareness and physical readiness.

Throughout the training session, various self-defense techniques were demonstrated by the instructors. A total of 35 female police personnel participated in the workshop, engaging actively in the self-defense activities.
