PORVORIM: Government of Goa has decided to commence the new academic year starting April 1 for the 2025-2026 academic session, applicable to grades 6 to 10 and grade 12 in government, government-aided, and unaided recognized schools across the state.
This information was disseminated through a circular issued by Directorate of Education Director Shailesh Zingade on Monday, which includes specific directives for effective implementation beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Classes for the aforementioned grades will be held in April until 11:30 am. Students in these grades will observe a summer vacation from May 1 to June 6. Regular school hours will resume on June 4.
Consequently, school administrators are urged to take the necessary steps to ensure the academic year commences on April 1.
