
BICHOLIM: Over sixty students from two schools (Progress high school, Sankhalim and Vivekanda Vidya Mandir, Keri-Sattari) and one college (Narayan Zantye College) actively engaged in the ‘Amchi Bhasha Amchi Asmitai-Basic Konkani Typing Workshop,’ which was organized by Prime Media Goa in collaboration with the Department of Official Language, Government of Goa.
This event took place at Narayan Zantye College of Commerce in Bicholim on Tuesday. The workshop commenced with an inauguration by Anil Sawant, deputy director of Director of Official Language, alongside Prof Dr Rajendra Kumbharjuvekar, Principal of Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, as well as Sandeep Kerkar, Editor in Chief of Prime Media, and Alisha Fernandes, a senior television producer at Prime Media.
The session was conducted by Shamba Gaonkar, a Sub-Editor for the Konkani bulletin at Prime Media, who provided instruction on basic Konkani typing, practical keyboard usage for typing alphabets, advanced typing techniques, and video subtitling. At the conclusion of the workshop, Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye was the chief guest and awarded certificates to the participating students in the presence of Prashant Shirodkar, the Director of Official Language. The event was compered by Sandeep Pilgaonkar, the head of PCR at Prime Media.
