A meeting of newly elected PCC delegates from Goa was held on 20th september at 5.00 pm at Congress House Panjim. Shri Mohan Joshi,Pradesh Returning Officer for Goa Presided over the meeting. GPCC President Amit Patkar, MP Francisco Sardinha and Senior Vice President M.K. Shaikh were present on the dais.
All elected and coopted PCC members of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee have resolved today that Member of Parliament and Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi should be unanimously elected as President of AICC . He has pre eminent place in the party and is acknowledged leader of rank and file in Congress Party. He has been relentlessly and fearlessly fighting against the wrong policies and communal agenda of the Country. His message of harmony and kindness has been louded by all.
This resolution was proposed by South Goa Congress MP, Seconded by Senior Vice President M K . Shaikh and was passed unanimously by all the members Present.
In second resolution It has been unanimously decided to authorise Congress President to nominate the PCC President, all executive committee members including Vice Presidents, Treasurer , Pradesh Election Committee, AICC Members and coopted members from the state.


Pradesh Returning Officer Shri Mohan Joshi, GPCC President Amit Patkar and MP Francisco Sardinha spoke on the occasion. PCC delegates gave valuable suggestions for the revival of the Congress Party in Goa. GPCC vice President M.K. Shaikh welcomed and Media Department Chairman Amarnath Panjikar Proposed Vote of Thanks.
