ABVP Mapusa organizes cycle ride and eco-friendly cleanliness drive.

MAPUSA: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Mapusa unit conducted an eco-friendly cleanliness drive and cycle ride.
A cycle ride was organized from Shri Dev Bodgeshwar Temple, Mapusa to Chapora Fort, and undertook cleaning of Chapora Fort followed by a talk on the history of Chapora fort by resource person Sawani Shetye.
During this time people were made aware of the physical well-being and healthy environment by ABVP officials. 

ABVP Konkan State Joint Secretary  Prabha Naik said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative towards cleanliness has had a significant impact. “It is of utmost importance for everyone to learn about cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and different health issues that are caused due to poor hygienic conditions. Cleanliness gives us a healthy mind and physique”, she added. “It is not the responsibility of only one person rather it is the duty of every person out there to nurture the environment for the future generation”. NEC Member Sankalp Phaldesai said that the organization regularly conducts various awareness campaigns on such social issues.
There was a good response from people. Altogether 23 bags of garbage were collected from the site. North Goa District co-convenors Avdhut Kotkar and Dhanashree Mandrekar, student leaders Uttam Parsekar, Tushar Kelkar, and others from ABVP, Mapusa unit were present during the programme.
