4 FAMILY MEMBERS ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
PERNEM: The Pernem Police arrested four members of a family for assaulting another family member at Dhargal.
Sharda Shirgaokar of Mahakajan, Dhargal in her complaint stated that on Tuesday evening four persons pelted stones and assaulted her son near their new under construction shop at Dhargal.
Acting on her complaint, the police arrested Vijay Shirgaokar, Vallabh Shirgaokar, Abhishek Shirgaokar and Shan Shirgaokar, all residents Mahakhajan, Dhargal. They were later released on bail.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 324 and 504 read with 34 IPC in this connection.
A chapter case under section 107 CrPC has also been sent against the accused persons to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Pernem for preventive action.
