CANACONA: The tongue in cheek remark of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) general secretary Janardhan ‘Jana’ Bhandari that ‘instead of security at the Chapoli dam, security should be given for jumping jacks like Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes, who jumped from Congress to BJP’ drew a sharp retort from Isidore Fernandes.
Isidore said there are some who shout ‘Congress Congress’ but don’t stay in their constituency but drop anchor in some other place to make money. An irate Isidore also said, “Tell Jana’s brother to put security to catch the one who is dealing with drugs.”
The Deputy Speaker denied that he had come on the ground to protest against his own government. He stated that he asked that a complaint should be filed by police and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant took immediate action and suspended the police inspector and constable.
