ACTRESS AND MODEL PONAM PANDEY AND HUSBAND RELEASED ON BAIL
CANACONA: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Canacona on Thursday evening granted bail to film actress and model Poonam Pandey and her husband Sam Ahmad Bombay, who were arrested in connection with a vulgar video, which went viral on social media.
The court ordered that the duo be released on a bail of Rs 20,000 and one surety in like amount each. They have been asked to report to the Canacona police station for a period of six days and not to leave the State without permission of the court. They have also been asked to report to the investigating officer as and when required and to cooperate with the police in the investigations. The duo have also been asked not to tamper with the evidence.
Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira argued on behalf of Pandey couple. He said that the police had acted in haste when they had sent notice to Poonam Pandey to appear for inquiry at Canacona police station on Friday, November 6.
